What they're saying

Mia R.@mia.R1

““Honestly, I didn’t want to buy it at first. I figured it’d look like a medical thing stuck on my nail. It’s a tiny pink heart. My friends thought it was nail art until I told them what it does. Now they all want one before we go out.””

Jasmine T.@Jasmine.Totiana

““I always said I’d just keep an eye on my drink. Then I counted how many times I looked away in one night: bathroom, photos, dancing, ordering food. Way more than I thought. Now I check with my nail in like 15 seconds and get back to my night. It’s not magic, it’s just one more check, and that’s enough for me."”

Sofia L.@Sofia.Landa

““I was scared it’d be this whole embarrassing thing at the bar. It’s not. My girls and I put them on together while we get ready, and now it’s kind of our little ritual. Pinky promise, we check. Nobody around us even notices.””

A little more to know

Good questions. Honest answers.

How do I use it?

Dip a clean finger or a straw into your drink and transfer a single drop onto each test pad on the sticker. Don't dip the sticker into your glass. Watch the pads for 10 to 30 seconds — a clear colour change means a positive result.

What does it actually detect?

It screens for GHB and ketamine, and reacts to some related amine-based compounds. That's it.

It does not detect extra alcohol, benzodiazepines in every form, or most other substances. Being honest about that matters more to us than a longer list.

Does it detect someone adding extra alcohol?

No, and no strip of this kind does. Adding extra spirits to a drink is the most common form of spiking and it's chemically invisible to these tests. Keep your drink with you and pay attention to how you feel — that's still the thing that protects you most.

What does a negative result actually mean?

It means those specific substances weren't detected, at detectable levels, in the drop you tested. It does not mean your drink is safe. Something could be present below the detection threshold, or be a substance this test doesn't cover.

If anything feels off — the taste, your drink's appearance, how you feel — don't drink it, tell someone you trust and get help.

Are there drinks it doesn't work on?

Yes, and this is important. Milk-based drinks like milk or cream liqueurs will show a positive GHB result even when nothing is there. Very acidic drinks like bitter lemon or lime cordial can hide GHB completely and give a false negative. Red wine and dark berry drinks stain the pads and interfere with both tests.

On those drinks, the result can't be trusted in either direction.

What should I do if it comes back positive?

Stop drinking it immediately. Tell a friend you trust and a member of staff — bar teams are trained for this. Keep the glass if you can, since it may be needed later. If you feel unwell at any point, get medical help straight away and don't leave on your own.

Can I reuse one?

No. Each sticker is single use. Once a pad has been wet it won't give a reliable result again, so apply a fresh one if you want to test another drink.

Will it stay on all night?

It's designed to last a full night out, including hand washing. Apply it to a clean, dry nail — no oil or hand cream on the surface — and press it down firmly for a few seconds.

Does it work over gel or acrylic nails?

Yes. It sticks to natural nails, gel, acrylic and press-ons. On a very glossy top coat it may lift slightly sooner, so press it down well when you apply it.

Will it damage my manicure when I take it off?

No. Peel it off slowly from one edge. It leaves no residue and won't lift polish or gel underneath.

Is it obvious what it is?

It reads as a nail decal. Most people won't look twice, and that's deliberate — it's there if you need it without turning your night into a conversation about it.

Can I see the result in a dark bar?

The colour change is visible in low light, but it's worth doing one at home first so you know exactly what you're looking for. If you can't read it clearly, step somewhere brighter or use your phone torch.

How many come in a pack?

Each holographic pouch contains 10 single-use stickers. Most people keep a few in a bag or purse so there's always one spare for a friend.

How should I store them?

Keep them sealed, dry and out of direct sunlight and heat. Don't leave them loose at the bottom of a bag where they can get damp — moisture affects the pads before you ever use them.

Do they expire?

Yes. Check the date printed on the pack and replace them once it passes — the reagents lose sensitivity over time and an expired test can't be relied on.

Is this a medical or forensic test?

No. It's a consumer screening indicator, not a diagnostic or forensic device. It can't prove a drink was spiked and it can't prove it wasn't. If you believe you've been spiked, seek medical attention and report it — a hospital or the police can carry out proper testing.

What's your returns policy?

Unopened packs can be returned within 30 days. For hygiene and safety reasons we can't accept opened packs back.

This is a screening indicator, not a guarantee. It reacts to a limited number of substances and cannot detect extra alcohol, which is the most common way drinks are spiked. A negative result does not mean a drink is safe. Trust your instincts first: if something feels wrong about your drink or how you feel, leave it, tell someone you trust and get help.
